Terms of Service
Effective Date: 2026-05-12
1. Introduction and acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern the use of products and services offered by Nordic Prime Butchers, a business operating in Denmark with its registered business address at Nordhavnsgade 15, 2150 København, Denmark (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By placing an order, making a purchase, requesting a quotation, collecting goods, or otherwise engaging with our products or services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services or place an order.
These Terms apply to all customers, including private consumers and business customers, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and a separate written agreement signed by Nordic Prime Butchers, the separate written agreement shall prevail to the extent of the conflict.
2. Scope of services
Nordic Prime Butchers provides meat products and related services, including but not limited to:
- Fresh beef, pork, lamb, and poultry cuts;
- Custom meat trimming and portioning;
- Wholesale supply for restaurants and caterers;
- Marinated meats and ready-to-cook selections;
- Seasonal barbecue packages and event orders.
All products are subject to availability, seasonal supply, and applicable regulatory requirements. We reserve the right to modify product assortments, packaging, portion sizes, and preparation methods at any time without prior notice, provided that such changes do not materially affect confirmed orders already accepted by us.
Any product descriptions, images, weights, or serving suggestions are provided for information purposes only and may vary due to natural product characteristics, trimming, cutting, and preparation processes.
3. User obligations and responsibilities
When using our services or purchasing our products, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information when placing an order or creating a business account;
- Ensure that all orders are lawful and placed by a person with legal capacity to contract;
- Review product specifications, allergen information, storage instructions, and handling requirements before consumption or resale;
- Store, transport, refrigerate, freeze, prepare, and cook meat products in accordance with applicable food safety standards and the instructions provided by us or the product label;
- Inspect products promptly upon receipt and notify us without undue delay of any apparent defect, shortage, damage, or non-conformity;
- Not misuse our products, packaging, branding, or services in any unlawful, misleading, or unsafe manner.
You acknowledge that meat and poultry are perishable goods and require proper handling. Failure to follow storage or preparation instructions may result in spoilage, foodborne illness, or loss of product quality, for which we shall not be responsible to the extent permitted by law.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a restaurant, caterer, or other business customer, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity and that the products will be used in compliance with all applicable food, hygiene, labeling, and consumer protection laws.
4. Payment terms and conditions
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due at the time of order, upon collection, or upon delivery, depending on the selected service and payment method. We may require advance payment, deposits, or partial prepayment for custom orders, wholesale orders, large event orders, or specially prepared products.
Accepted payment methods may include card payments, bank transfer, mobile payment solutions, or other methods made available by us from time to time. Any fees charged by payment providers or banks are borne by the customer unless otherwise stated.
All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) unless otherwise indicated. Prices may include or exclude VAT depending on the customer type and the manner in which the price is presented. Any applicable VAT will be charged in accordance with Danish law.
For business customers, invoices are payable by the due date stated on the invoice. Late payment may result in reminder fees, interest, collection costs, and suspension of further deliveries, to the extent permitted by Danish law.
We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors. If a pricing error is discovered after an order has been placed, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and may cancel the affected order if the correct price is not acceptable to you.
5. Cancellation and refund policy
Because our products are fresh, perishable, and often prepared to order, cancellation and refund rights are limited to the extent permitted by Danish law.
Custom, made-to-order, and perishable goods: Orders for custom trimming, portioning, marinated products, ready-to-cook selections, wholesale cuts prepared to specification, seasonal barbecue packages, and event orders may not be cancelled once preparation has begun. Such products are generally excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal for distance sales where applicable, due to their perishable nature and/or being made to the customer’s specifications.
Standard products: If a standard non-custom product has been ordered and has not yet been prepared, packed, dispatched, or collected, cancellation may be possible at our discretion. Any approved cancellation must be confirmed by us in writing or by email.
Refunds: Refunds, where applicable, will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless otherwise agreed. Refunds may take a reasonable period to process depending on the payment provider and banking system.
Defective or incorrect products: If a product is defective, materially non-conforming, or incorrectly supplied, you must contact us promptly and provide reasonable evidence, such as photographs and order details. Where a valid claim is confirmed, we may, at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law, offer replacement, price reduction, or refund.
Consumer rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under Danish law. If you are a consumer and a statutory right applies, that right remains unaffected.
6. Liability limitations
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Nordic Prime Butchers shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, or loss of data, arising from or related to the use of our products or services.
Our liability for direct loss or damage shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
We do not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Danish law.
We are not responsible for losses caused by:
- Improper storage, handling, cooking, or consumption of products after delivery or collection;
- Delays caused by incorrect customer information or failure to collect goods at the agreed time;
- Acts or omissions of third-party delivery providers, payment processors, or other service providers outside our reasonable control;
- Force majeure events as described below.
Nothing in these Terms affects your mandatory rights as a consumer under Danish law.
7. Intellectual property rights
All intellectual property rights in and to our website, brand elements, product descriptions, photographs, logos, text, graphics, and other materials created or used by Nordic Prime Butchers remain the property of Nordic Prime Butchers or its licensors, as applicable.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, display, transmit, or otherwise use our intellectual property without our prior written consent, except to the extent permitted by mandatory law or for ordinary personal use related to your lawful purchase of our products.
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas submitted to us may be used by us without restriction or compensation, unless otherwise agreed in writing and to the extent permitted by law.
8. Data protection and privacy
Nordic Prime Butchers processes personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
We collect and process personal data only to the extent necessary for purposes such as order handling, customer communication, invoicing, delivery coordination, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
Depending on the context, we may process information such as name, contact details, delivery address, order history, payment status, and communication records. Where required by law, we will rely on an appropriate legal basis for processing and provide further information in a separate privacy notice.
You have rights under applicable data protection law, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and data portability, subject to legal limitations. Requests regarding personal data may be submitted using the contact details below.
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Force majeure
Nordic Prime Butchers shall not be liable for any delay or failure in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, storm, epidemic, pandemic, power failure, equipment breakdown, transport disruption, labor disputes, supplier shortages, governmental action, war, terrorism, or other similar events.
If a force majeure event occurs, our obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the event to the extent affected. We will make reasonable efforts to mitigate the impact and resume performance as soon as practicable.
10. Changes to terms
We may update or amend these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. The updated Terms will take effect from the date stated in the revised version or, if no date is stated, upon publication.
For ongoing relationships or recurring business arrangements, we will provide reasonable notice of material changes where required by law or where commercially reasonable. Continued use of our services after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Denmark, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise. If you are a consumer, you may also have access to complaint mechanisms and consumer dispute resolution bodies under Danish law.

13. Severability clause
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a competent court or authority, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Any invalid or unenforceable provision shall, where possible, be replaced by a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent of the parties and the commercial purpose of these Terms.
